Advertising Opportunities Explained
There are several different ways to advertise on this website. This website is driven from a database. All reviews entered are stored in a database that can be searched by anyone. When a review or group of reviews are called for from the database the website also looks for any associated adverts and if found they are displayed at the top of the reviews. These adverts can appear at the top of search results or on the actual review pages themselves. Advertising is available at the top of reviews, whether the group or an individual review pages. There are two advertising slots of 700 by 100 pixels available at the start of each page. The first will always be reserved for the business or service which forms the subject of the review, this business can purchase the seccond slot at a discounted rate. Where available the second slots can be purchased by any business to advertise in.
Banner Adverts Above Reviews

Standard Size Banner Advert
This provides a basic banner advert up to 700 by 100 pixels in size. This will be visible for a year and will be displayed at the top of all reviews associated with your establishment, service etc. This banner will only be displayed after payment is received. This banner can be a stand-alone item, contain a link to an external website or link to an advertisers information page (described later). To see an example, click here.
Larger Size Banner Advert
For a larger advert of up to 700 by 200 pixels you can pay to occupy both slots and therefore have sole advertising at the top of your review(s). This size could mean that you can insert information or perhaps make a more striking impression with your advert. This costs only slightly more than a standard add. To see an example, click here. Note, you can buy a larger advert to take up both advertising slots but still use a standard sized advert. It is only possible for the business forming the subject of the review to use both the spaces in this way.
Advertising in Rivals Empty Space
If the second advertising slot is available, any business can advertise here. All these adverts will be of a standard banner size. This banner can serve as a link as previously described. The cost for a year is for each place you wish your banner to appear, only a standard size banner can be used in this case.
Advertising On Search Results
Adverts can also be placed at the top of search results in an area/county or town. There are two slots available to advertise in, on each search results page. You purchase the association with a city, town or village in a specific guide. When someone searches for a bussiness/service in the area you have paid to advertise on your advert will appear before the search results. These are all standard sized adverts. The cost varies by the size of the location you wish to be associated with. This can link to an external web site or an advertisers information page.
All banner adverts must be no larger than size stated and be either of a JPEG or GIF file format. All adverts and pictures for use in the Advertisers Information Page (described below) and as Banner Adverts must be emailed as an attachment to adimages@youreguides.com. Once checked for viruses we will then upload them to the server.

This option is available if you have an advert on our site. It is a single web page that be found by clicking on a banner advert at the top of a review or group of reviews it can contain a title up to three passages of text, three pictures with optional text underneath and an address, which allows a link to streetmap.com, so users can see where you are located. All boxes on this page can have their background colours customised. This page can be created and edited by the advertiser at any time. Or if you want us to maintain your page we can do that for a small fee when it is created and when amendments are made.

We will happily create any banner advert that is within our capability. There is a one off fee. Currently only static adverts can be created. Click here to see example adverts.

Payment to be made by cheque payable to either YourEGuides or Y E G Ltd. Cheques should be posted to Y E G Ltd, Room 2, 26 Trent Close, Yeovil, Somerset, BA21 5XQ. Online payments will be available shortly. No product will be available on the site until the funds have cleared.
